We’ll let you know when an affordable housing project is on the agenda for your local government where you would like to live

HOW IT WORKS

Say you live in Morro Bay, work in SLO, and want to live in SLO. We will email you:

1. A description of the proposed projects with estimated price ranges
2. The date and time for you to go to the SLO City Council to express your interest in the project.

During the public comment period you have up to three minutes to say why you want the project to go forward.

WHY SHOULD I SPEAK TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT?

Your elected officials want to hear your point of view. The people in the existing neighborhoods may oppose the affordable housing project. They are often organized, and are vocal in their concerns about (for example) increased traffic, noise, or unsuitability of the site. Your voice needs to be heard. Tell them about yourself and your family and what it would mean to you to be able to obtain this housing.
