County Supervisors Candidates Forum
Supervisor Candidates Forum - April 17, 2008
On April 17 the WHC sponsored a public forum to explore how the six candidates running for the three contested seats on the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors plan to address the critical need for workforce housing. The forum was held at the Creekside Career Center, 4111 Broad St., San Luis Obispo. It was moderated by the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County.
Candidates were asked specific questions about where future housing should be built, who will pay for it, how communities can and should address water, traffic and related resource and infrastructure issues, and how the building industry, general public and government can work together more effectively to find the best solutions.
The election to choose supervisors for districts one, three, and five will be on June 3.
The forum was taped by APG Video. A schedule of viewing times on public access television and webcasts of the forum are available at www.slo-span.org.
